To Develop Advanced Level Expertise in Environmental Governance.

Land Use Law (GPR 311) third year School of Law Students, under the instruction of Dr. Robert Kibugi, recently developed short documentary films, through which they identified a legal land use problem, proceeded to investigate, and communicate the outcome through a 10-12 minute long documentary. The 6 short documentary films were judged by a panel of 4 experts as part of the class coursework. The panel of judges , while providing constructive criticism, commended the students the high degree of effort and diligence evident in the output.

CHSS Registrar Dr. J. Obosi and CASELAP's Prof Oguge, with faculty members Dr. Mulwa, Dr. Anyango and Dr. Odote recently travelled for an exchange visit to the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The visit is part of activities undertaken within the memorandum of understanding agreed between the two universities. It is also part of implementation of a three year project on legal aspects of Governance of Natural Resources Funded by the Swedish Research Council.
