The Center joined the rest of the University of Nairobi and the Kenya Forest Institute and Equity Bank to participate in the tree planting initiative at the Parklands Campus of the University of Nairobi. The exercise themed “UoN@50: Partnering in afforestation beyond the COVID-19 Pandemic” was carried out in the presence of the Director CASELAP and other Faculty members, in an early contribution to the theme for the 2021 world environment day and UN 2021-2030 decade of restoring ecosystems.
For CASELAP, the activity aligns with our core focus which is environmental sustainability through scholarship. The ceremony also an occasion to remember the CASELAP founder and Environmental icon Prof. Charles Okidi who passed on recently.
