"...When any Kenyan is mistreated, the law should and must take its course. However, when the events are associated with a particular race, then it opens the country to discussions that are both emotional and dangerous for the country. While there are good Chinese nationals in the country, it is unacceptable for any of national from China to treat Kenyans as a second-rate citizens in their country." Dr. Collins Odote.

"....It is surprising that, BBI,  a framework to deal with the underlying issues affecting the Kenyan society and resulting tensions and divisions can ignore the land question. Knowing the place that land occupies in the country and how it is a trigger for several other conflicts in the country, any genuine efforts to address the country’s problems cannot ignore the land question. If that happens, it can only mean that there is no commitment to finding long-lasting solutions to what ails Kenya."  Dr. Collins, Odote 

At the centre of the 2-day conference held at the University of Nairobi on 23rd January 2020-24th January 2020, was the need to showcase experiences from research, field projects and best practices in climate change adaptation in African countries, which may be useful or implemented in other countries. The conference was interdisciplinary with participants drawn from diverse academic and professional backgrounds from over 15 countries.
