Greetings to you all. I trust you are keeping well, and following all the directives towards bending the curve on the Covid -19 incidences.
A bizarre incident happened on the night of 12th April 2020 in Ugenya, Siaya County. James Oyugi Onyango, who had succumbed to COVID-19 was hurriedly buried at night without a coffin by Health officials and without any consultation of his relatives. All in the name of upholding higher precautions for the best interest of Kenyans. This has raised a host of questions in the country and beyond.
Hand washing is one of the guidelines the Government of Kenya and the World Health Organization have recommended as a preventive measure for Coronavirus disease. However, with the country still facing the challenge of water scarcity, it is one thing to ask all Kenyans to ensure they wash their hands regularly with soap and water.
For a few years now, Dr. Collins Odote has been using digital technologies to teach and supervise his postgraduate students.
The Centre, today, reviewed its curricula in Environmental Law and Environmental Policy programmes in line with with the university of Nairobi regulations. The excercise also conforms to the industry expectations. CASELAP is committed to providing world class training and research.

On 11th March, 2020, CASELAP received a donation of an LCD Projector and an office Laptop from Maina Kironji.
Nairobi County has had a tumultuous ride since the 2017 elections. Consequently, when it was announced last week that the county government had exercised the option of transferring some of its functions to the national government it was just another chapter in this bumpy ride.
Many sentiments have been expressed about the decision. It is important, however, that our lens of assessment is right. We must choose whether we comment on the matter from an emotional, political or legal lens.

However, when the events are associated with a particular race, then it opens the country to discussions that are both emotional and dangerous for the country. While there are good Chinese nationals in the country, it is unacceptable for any of national from China to treat Kenyans as a second-rate citizens in their country." Dr. Collins Odote.
